Expungement
Ohio law specifically defines who can and cannot apply to have their case expunged. The sentencing judge ultimately has discretion whether or not to grant the expungement, but too many people pay attorneys to file expungements who are not eligible. An experienced criminal defense attorney should be able to tell someone seeking an expungement whether they are eligible, before taking the case.
